WADA - World Anti-Doping Agency

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) was established in 1999 as an international independent agency composed and funded equally by the sport movement and governments of the world. Its key activities include scientific research, education, development of anti-doping capacities, and monitoring of the World Anti Doping Code (Code) – the document harmonising anti-doping policies in all sports and all countries.

Click here to visit WADA’s website for further information (including the up-to-date Prohibition Lists)

Registered Testing Pool

The Medical & Anti-Doping Commission (MADC), a sub-committee of the Cayman Islands Olympic Committee (CIOC), has established specific criteria for athletes to be placed on the Registered Testing Pool (RTP). This criteria was approved by the CIOC in May 2012.

In summary, an athlete who is 14 years and over who is eligible to represent the Cayman Islands at an International event will be added to the RTP list. For more information please click here to view the full MADC Registered Testing Pool  Criteria

CIASA has submitted a list of swimmers to the MADC who meet the criteria and the MADC will notify swimmers of their selection. This does not mean that all swimmers on the list will be automatically tested. Tests will be conducted randomly over the year and a selection will be done at any time.
