The CIASA Awards is an awards programme launched to recognise outstanding contribution and achievements of swimmers, coaches, officials and volunteers and are given out in January during the CIASA Awards Gala.
The Shooting Stars programme is designed to motivate coaches and swimmers to achieve times comparable with world age group standards.
Swimmers aged 10-14 years are ranked according to the number of stars they have scored after the final swim meet in December each year. Their score is “as at that point” and not the accumulation of stars attained throughout the season.
The Top Male and Female Swimmers in each age group receive special Awards at the CIASA Awards Gala held in January of each year. The Clubs of the Top 3 Highest Scoring Swimmers overall will also receive recognition.
